My Experience on Mobile phone from Black and White phone to Smart Phone era

Phone is nice things. If you are missing your mother and if you and  your mother has either cell phone or landline then you can reduce the distance. Now a day, you can do video calling using skype or hang out where you can see each other.

In early 1900’s, there were no landline, no cell phone, no video calling. If anyone wanted to communicate then there were very few options like Letter through post and telegraph although Graham Bell invented telephone in 1876, but it was not widely spread at that time.

In my childhood, I did not have friendship with landline also. My home town was very small in that time and had only 3000 to 4000 population. Only few businessman, doctors and lawyers had landline that time. 

One day I was introduced with the landline. My father had consultancy for fatory’s act, labour law and Provident funds. One day he told me go to this person’s house and tell his brother to call this number and ask Mr.XXX, when he would pick give him this information. I can remember today too that I was shivering while talking to that person. That was my first introduction with telephone. Later, we took Landline connection in our house when the telephone exchange was modified into electronic, that was probably 1990 or 1991.

I can remember the day, in 1995, CM of West Bengal inaugurated Mobile telephony in Kolkata, that was the first introduction of Mobile service in India. I was amazed that time how people can talk without wire. That time, incoming and outgoing were charged nearly 10-12 Rs per minute.

Time got changed in the market of mobile telephony and services. Call rate came down drastically, incoming rate waived off. Mobile phone evolution happened, from black and white mobile phone which was having only calling and messing option were changed into Mailing, browsing, seeing maps, purchasing product, voice call so on.
